Tyler Baptist has been with Bamboo Shoots for 17 years, joining in September 2008. As the Head of Post-production, Tyler supervises and trains the internal post-production team, assists in corporate and series post-production coordination, and works to develop, troubleshoot, and streamline company workflows and technology.
With over 25 years of hands-on experience in the Saskatchewan film and TV industry, Tyler specializes in editing, colour correction, and post-production supervision. Before working full-time with Bamboo Shoots, Tyler freelanced as an editor, assistant editor, camera operator, grip, production assistant, and even as an actor and extra on various commercial, corporate, and film & TV projects.
Tyler brings extensive knowledge of the entire production and post-production process, from pre-production to final delivery. He has strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, both technical and administrative, and is well-versed in the nuances of video production workflows. Some of his notable projects include The Other Side (TV Series) and Big Muddy (Feature Film).
Fun facts about Tyler are, he is an internationally award-winning filmmaker and plays in a band that has toured across Canada. A lifelong fan of cult and horror films, Tyler credits The Toxic Avenger (1984) as the movie that changed everything for him.
