Since joining Bamboo Shoots in 2020, Tristen Cosens has been a driving force behind producing, shooting, and directing a wide range of content. His work spans SaskTel’s Local on Demand catalogue, corporate video production, and television series, collaborating with creative directors to bring client visions to life both on set and in post-production.
Armed with a Diploma in Media Production from Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Tristen has built a reputation for his technical expertise in live broadcasts, serving as a Technical Director for high-profile national and international events. His impressive credits include FIBA 3X3 Basketball, the Women’s Rivalry Series, the World Junior Football Championships, and the Grey Cup.
Beyond live sports, Tristen has also left his mark in corporate video production, commercials, and TV series cinematography. His work on Behind the Menu earned him a Golden Sheaf Award for Best Community Television Production at the Yorkton Film Festival.
What Tristen enjoys most about his role? The ever-changing nature of production—new challenges, new stories, and the constant opportunity to grow. His favorite Show Right Now: Severance—so much so that he’d gladly be a coffee runner just to step foot on that set.
